Does overclocking by raising the fsb work? Ive heard somewhere that you cant overclock with a sata hdd?
 
Some SATA ports are not locked, don't use those if you want to overclock. On my motherboard 2 are locked and two are not.
 
How can you tell if their locked? Does the asus p5w dh deluxe manual tell you (locked) (unlocked) or is their a name for it?
 
I don't think that the drive is saturating the SATA connection. The bottleneck is not in the link, but in the actual speed of the hard drive.
