Just a few questions. I'm using the NF7-S with a 2500+ Barton.

1) When i change the multiplier and FSB, do i have the check the PCI bus speed? I remember with older boards i have to lock the PCI bus speeds at 33mhz to protect all my devices, but that option doesnt seem to be available in the bios. I want to make sure i'm not killing my hard drives or anything. Are there any other settings I have to look out for when playing around with the multiplier and FSB?

2) I was able to overclock my 2500+ to 200mhz x 10.5 = 2100mhz (~3000+) using default voltage. I cant boot into windows at 200mhz X 11. I'm using 512mb 333DDR ram. I locked the CPU FSB/DRAM at 6/5 which is 333mhz so i dont think that's the problem. Suggestions?

THANKS!

The PCI frequency is locked in the NF7-S, so dont worry about it.

You may try to up the vcore or/and vdimm, using the 11 x 200 Mhz. WHen you booted @ 200 Mhz it was 1:1 or 6:5?

The fsb:Dram ratio was 6:5.

I just increased the core voltage to 1.675. Seems to boot into windows now. I'll do a prime95 stress test for a bit.

EEEEK!

The prime95 test just hang windows. I lowered my settings back to 10.5x200mhz with default voltage and it doesnt load into windows! I tried the original 2500+ settings and still no good!!! It loads windows but just before the login screen i get a reboot. AHHH!

Btw, i cleared the CMOS and still the same thing!
