Overclocking video cards (Geforce2Go/Radeon Mobility), can it be done? Safely?

Just curious if anybody's ever done it, what the results were. I'm thinking that its definitely not worth the risk, but some folks are extremists, so you never know what crazy thing they'll do for an extra 5fps or a few extra 3DMarks :p

Heat would be a major issue here, I''m guessing?...

Overclocking the memory on a GF2 card is pretty safe and gives a boost. Overclocking the core don't give much improvement since the cards are already limited by memory bandwidth.
This is just my 2 cents, I am not an expert but it made a difference on my GF 2MX.
Don't know about the GF 2Go.

personlly I wouldnt risk o/c a laptops ram/gpu as it could be very costly and you will not see a massive improvement. Although you could take the sucker apart and put some heatsinks on the core/memory.

I tend to think your better off not overclocking on a laptop. heat and power consumption are huge factors. Even a small increase either way could have a very detrimental impact.
Reliability can disappear a whole lot quicker a with much less modifcations then it would on a desktop system.
It's not worth it IMHO.
