overclocking video card help

I was trying to overclock my video card last night and I have installed the registry edits which allow me under properties/settings to have a tab for hardware options which has two bars for me to slide for faster speed. the problem I have is that their is a box labeled "Allow clock frequency adjustments" that I have to check in order to be able to move the bars. When I check this it says that I must reboot. I reboot and everything is the same. The box is not checked. So I check it again and again it says I have to reboot. This becomes an endless loop. Anyone know how to get passed this so that I can overclock my video card.

not sure, but what version det's you using, maybe your using a glitchy version that doesn't allow coolbits...

there is another box to check on the same screen where you adjust the bars- apply these settings at startup. that should do it.
