Overclocking through the bios or Ai booster?

I haven't had much luck getting past 2.3GHZ using the Ai booster, my temps are fine, it just becomes unstable. Is it safe to start overclocking through the bios? I just hit 2.2GHZ on a 2GHZ chip successfully through the bios, so should I continue to try this method to overclock? Thanks.

try it manually, my chip only does 2.45 ghz anyway and thats how much AI can overclock it.

I'm getting better results using the bios, I just hit 2.4GHZ, so this is a good sign.

You are better off using the BIOS to OC rather than the Asus AI Booster.

I tend to use the BIOS for most settings but sometimes the multiplier cannot be changed initially unless I first do it in AI Booster. Once it's changed there and I reboot, it will stick.
