During the last weekend I picked up a month old AMD Athlon 1.33Ghz with the sacred AYHJA "C" stepping from an AT member. Meaning that is came factory unlocked. Right now with my current setup the only reason stopping me from O/Cing this puppy is my PSU. But I was wondering. As long as it is rock stable at default voltage what harm is there as long as I keep it cool from O/Cing? There shouldn't be any right? The only times I hear about CPU dying is from pumping the voltage to 1.90v+ for extended periods of time.

T-birds are tough brudda, I have a friend with a 1.2 t-bird that's been running@1.54ghz@2v for a couple years now and still humming along

So pumping more voltage won't shorten the life of the CPU? It won't degrade system performance over time? If this is true the only enemy I have is heat? am I right? And maybe a crappy PSU?? I'm running a generic PSU and the 5V line is at 4.80v. I'm getting an Antec soon.
Edit: I have successfully O/Ced to 1466mhz from 1333mhz. A 133mhz increase!!. It's running 50C under full load with SoB. The only thing worrying me is the low 5v line, it's at 4.67v. Too low for me. So, I'll back down to 1333mhz until my Antec SL300S comes in!!

Is that 4.67v on the 5v rail under load condition or in an idle position??? If under load you should be fine, just look for signs of instability. If at idle that is a bit low as it is below the general +/- 5% range...
