Dear All

i am going to overclock my system. if i raise the fsb to 400 for Q9550 then how will i overclock Corsair DDR3 DHX 1333 Ram and can i increase the bus speed of ram to 400 with 1:1 divider bcoz it will be 1600 effective bus speed which is higher than its native 1333 mhz speed.

If you are running your Q9550 @ stock 8.5x333, with your RAM @ DDR3-1333, that's actually using the 1:2 ratio.

You can lower the ratio if your RAM isn't able to clock as high as you'd like.

Keep in mind that @ 1:2, the RAM always runs 2x the speed of the FSB.
So if you bump up to 8.5x400, your RAM will then be clocked @ DDR3-1600.

It means that though the stock speed of RAM is 1333 but i can increase it to 400 or above.
1:2 ratio means if cpu bus is 400 then ram will be run at 800 (1600 effective)
