So, I just bought some new DDR2 Ballistix and I'm wondering...

I'm told that for the C2 at least, enthusiast memory isn't required for an overclock. Although it may play a positive roll in the overclock of cheaper C2 processors with their lower multipliers.

Has anyone heard any knowledgeable predictions about how the Barcelona may overclock with cheap or performance memory?

Barcelona and other K10s will use an updated version of the memory controller found on AM2/Socket F processors. They tend to do very well with fast memory, enabling AMD platforms to reach low memory latencies. I suspect that K10 chips will also enjoy considerable benefits from having low memory latencies, though the K10s with L3 cache may be less affected by memory speed than those without (notably Rana).

I read that AMD's Agena FX at 1.9GHz overclocked to 3.05GHz without any issues. But when i looked at the cpu list the slowest clocked Agena FX was clocked at 2.0-2.2GHz. So it might be very overclockable
