Overclocking technique

I'm just about to receive an unclocked 2100+ Tbred B and overclock it to death. I'm just curious about everyone's favourite system for overclocking. I do it as below, but I'm always looking to improve and squeeze an extra MHz or two out of my system.
1. Lower CPU multiplier well below rated speed.
2. Raise FSB and vdimm to obtain highest possible stable speed
3. Raise multiplier until system becomes unstable.
4. Lower FSB so that it runs at the same speed as above but with the higher multiplier (eg. highest FSB possible is 200MHz, with a multiplier of 11.5 system is stable (2150MHz), with 12 (2200MHz) it is unstable. I lower FSB to 179 and keep multiplier of 12 (2148MHz).
5. If system is stable I begin graudally increasing the FSB again by 1MHz at a time until unstable, then lower until stable again.
6. Stress test to confirm reliability.
What are your thoughts? Are there better ways to go about it?

I see we have a resident nef who has nothing useful to say, but your technique does seem good. There may be other techniques that are better, but I don't know of them.

I believe if he did the search he would have come up with more suggestions and ways to pump his CPU. I've contributed my part to this part of the Forum until I see repetitive threads asking for the same thing.

Why not just ignore the post then, rather than contribute absolutely nothing? I wanted to discuss it, so I opened the thread. If I wanted to search for previous discussions, I could have done.

You could at least have done the search and come up with more details than you need in this ONE thread. Whatever floats your boat.
