Overclocking Step by Step

I have read various How to Overclock guides, but when I have tried this with my older system (Celeron 400. Abit BM6) I have seen that this chip can run 75 and 83MHz. I haven't gotten very far - when I reboot I get some errors and so I give up.

I think that I haven't gotten all the settings in the Softmenu in the BIOS right. Here's what I see and what I think I should set or don't really know for sure.

Operating Speed- 400(66) change to User Define
Ext Clock (PCI) - I should try from 75 (1/3) ??
Multiplier x5 ?? is this locked anyway??
Sel100/66# High ?? does this even matter for this case?
AGPCLK/CPUCLK 2/3 ??
Speed error hold enabled ??
CPU voltage it comes up at 2.0v

I've played around with the Ext Clock in the past, but not the others. So at this nitty-gritty level if I were to try 75 and 83MHz what other settings do I need to get the system to boot successfully?

Thanks very much for the help. I'll check back tomorrow AM.

One more try at this. I'm particularly wondering about the AGC/PCI divider ratio to use at 75 and 83MHz.
