overclocking related lockups?

my system:
PIII 500 @ 560 (FSB jumper to 112 and multiplier @5.5, but it doesn't do the 5.5x thing i don't think, any idea how to get that to work?)
256mb ram (i don't know what, probably PC133)
ASUS P2B-S with BIOS 1012
Huge black heatsink on the CPU and that's the only fan. i think a 300W Sparkle PSU
SCSI HDD, 18.4gb (only thing in the system that's pretty hot)
PCI Devices:
Sound Blaster Live (not sure)
Firewire
LAN/Ethernet
GFX Card (not oc'ed) Rage 128 GL 32mb
(btw, i know it isn't quite enough ram...)
problem: when i am playing neverwinter nights, i get random lockups after random amount of time in the game. I can't do anything about it, it just locks up, BUT the HDD indicator on my case continually blinks, like a strobe light. Is it because i clocked my CPU too high, or is it because the SCSI HDD isn't getting enough cooling? When i touch the MB and the CPU, its all kinda warmish, nothing really hot, BIOS mb temp says about 29-34*C (any software to check CPU temp?)

so is it CPU, the game, my HDD, or me?

thanks
