Overclocking RAM

I have two sticks of Crucial PC2700 512mb and I want to up my FSB more so i can oc my locked barton 2500+. When I go much higher than 333 the ram is unstable. I know I can change the memory timings, but I do not know what the different numbers mean or how I can change them to make the ram run at higher frequencies stable. Thanks.
 
Set the memory to ddr333 or a 5:4 ratio, then up the fsb. Leave the other timings at default till you can read up on them.

You should really try to know what you are doing and why before you overclock.

You can't make your RAM run at higher frequencies AND BE STABLE. You can try to relax the timings (go with CL3-4-4-8 or similar instead of CL2-3-3-6 for example) and up the DDR voltage (Vdimm). You really need to find out more about your RAM, like the maximum allowed voltage, and then go from there.
