Overclocking RAM with Z170 motherboards

So I got some DDR4 3000 RAM. Put it on an Asus Z170-AR and the memory is running at 2133. I guess the motherboard needs to overclock the RAM to run at the rated 3000. How do I go about doing this?

Alright, I'll look into that, thanks. Since the RAM was rated for 3000, it should already have a default profile for that, right?

It should do yes. You can check in the spd tab in CPUz.
