Check the FAQ for some helpful stuff...

You might want to get SOME info about OCing and then come back and ask a more specific question

OCing is essentially making a part faster so it will perform better/similar to another, better part. Ex. OCing a AMD Barton 2500+ to 3200+ speeds.

Of course you always risk damaging a product by OCing and you might not be able to return it, but if you know what you're doing, OCing is very beneficial.

That wasn't too specific, but just use google and you should be able to find a lot of info.

1) How do I overclock??? This is very vague as it widely varies from system to system, platform to platform....Many of your components have major factors in achieving a good oc and would need to be identified before anyone can help you...

2) What are the benefits??? Free speed!!! Pay for less and get more.... Many ocs can be done with minimal to no vcore or voltage boost and temps within spcification...

3) What are the risk??? Shortening the life of the cpu and other components...However this can be minimized by knowing what you are doing and making sure you do not overvolt or run temperatures too high...
