overclocking question

I have begun overclocking my 1800+. I just got a vantec tornado fan and an Alpha 8045 heatsink and my temps at stock speed have dropped signifigantly. Right now Im running at 1703Mhz at a bus speed of 147Mhz. My temps are around 40C which is safe. But when i run 3dmark, it just randomly stops. THe computer doesnt lock, it just kicks me back out to the desktop? ANy ideas why or how I can fix it? By the way, Im using an Epox 8KHA+ motherboard.

overclocking is a chore... it takes lots of investigation when things dont work,

and lots of patience while benchmarking to reach that maximum tweak.

All devices run at higher rates when overclocking, start with your memory.
(which sounds like your problem / symtom)

Use memtest86 to see if your memory is crapping out.

And ... do some reading...do a search on my member name ... hehe ... might save you some time.
