Folks on this board have said that with my setup, I could get my CPU to 3.2ghz. I'm overclock stupid even though I have read the guide that is stickied in this forum above. Do I need to mess with my memory settings or can I just up the FSB and keep my 8x multiplier while upping the voltage slightly?

Just looking for a few tips is all.

Thanks. :)

set ram to 2, which is the 1:1 memory divider, no need to mess with memory timings, then just up the FSB to run at 3.2ghz. See if it remains stable when running orthos, If it doesn't, then the cpu will need a little more voltages, incease at small increments and keep increasing till you get stable or till your cpu gets to hot :p The latter shouldn't really happen though, you might hit 3.2ghz on stock voltages, but more then 1.4vcore shouldn't be needed for 3.2ghz.

The nb might need 0,1v extra as well, but try that if 1.4vcore doesn't hack it.

So you don't up the FSB in small increments to see if it's stable? Just go straight to 3.2ghz while setting ram to 2 (1:1), and if it's not stable at stock voltages..then just up the voltage little by little until it is?

How long should I run orthos for to check for stability?

I'd say 6 hours. Some people will say longer, I say fluff it. If it's stable for 6 hours and doesn't heat up to much, then you're fine. And, if you're not fine, you'll get a bsod sooner or later when gaming. If you do get a bsod, you redo your overclock. I haven't ever had a bsod though, so no need to redo my OC. And yes, just go to 3.2 straight. The going up by small increments was mainly as to not fluff up your motherboard and whatever, but going straight to 3.2 is pretty safe. Make sure you know where the cmos jumper is !!!
