Ok I am looking to finally overclock my system and have a little fun but I am a little unsure about some things.
1. How can you test stability after overclocking, should I just run Sandra burn in...or sompthing more?
2. Once is it stable and dosent crash is it safe just to leave it clocked at like 145 FSB all the time?
3. I know that when I raise my clock speed above 133 I should also raise the voltage for the DRAM and CPU...how high can I go without damaging anything and be able to run this at the overclocked speed all the time.
Here are my system specs

Athalon XP 1600+ (The green one not brown..I dont think it makes a diff though)
Epox 8KHA+ Mobo
512Mb HighPerf DDR 2100 (Mushkin)
PNY Geforce 2 Pro 64Mb
Sound Blaster Audigy X-Gamer
Seagate Barracuda IV 40Gb
CPU FAN: Volcano 6cu+ (I dont believe I bought that thing its freaking loud)
I ususally run theme temps under load:
CPU:35/97
Thanks for any help.

find 2 programs, CPU Burn, and 3dMark 2001, the former will load you cpu 100% for however long you tell it: this will tell you if your cpu is 100% stable, then run some loops of 3DMark, this'll tell you if your vid card can handle the overclock.
You will most likely have to keep gradually bumping up the default voltage the higher you go ( on the cpu), watch your temp!!!!!

Thanks for the info...anyone know what a good stable temp would be...I would also like to know if anyone knows the aprox voltage I should be using. I would like to maybe keep it running around 145 or 150...And is it safe to keep my comp running at like 150 all the time?

another option would be to overclock your XP by unlocking it and raising the multiplier...thus you wont be overclocking the memory/pci/agp bus.
