Overclocking Question?

So I'm going to mess around with overclocking my Geforce 2 GTS and have a question or two. When overclocking my card do I increase the speed in both the memory and the core clock? And if so do I do it in the same amounts for both? Thanks.
 
The GPU and memory are adjusted separately. Usually the memory has reached it's limits when you get artifacts (usually green or white dots). The GPU can do several different things when its limit is exceeded - lock ups, flashing textures, etc. Everybody prefers different tools for changing settings. I just use "Coolbits" because I don't have problems with sidebanding etc. Do a search for "artifact tester", which will quickly test your card for artifacts.
