Hey guys,

I currently have the following setup.

A64 3400+ Newcastle (Thermalright xp90 / Panaflo m1a 92mm fan / AS5)
DFI Lanparty UT250gb NF3
Corsair Xms TWINX1024-3200XLPRO (512x2)
Pny 6800GT

If i were to overclock my system, would the results be beneficial? *Should* this setup overclock well? If so, whats the typical overclock for this processor?

The reason I am asking, is because I have heard that certain setups dont overclock well. And I'd really like to get advice from you guys first, before I attempt anything.

Also guys, the reason I decided to jump to overclocking is because I am having performance issues Playing Wow at 1680x1050, with all settings maxed out, including aa and af on

Thanks in advance.

Thats prolly the one of the more optimal OC settups, as long as your PSU is decent. Your lag is GPU, not CPU based at that resolution/detail level, however.

EDIT: 2.6Ghz is prolly the target your should aim for, since you're running 2.4Ghz right now, if memory serves me correct.

Awesome, thanks L3p3rM355i4h

Looks like I'm gonna have to change my entire setup to 939 so I can get the 7800gtx (pci express)..

Oh well.

I'm running dual Seagates 7200 (8mb cache) 200 giggers. About the overclocking, I haven't played with it yet. Not sure if I'm going to. I think the problem is indeed my gpu. It just cant handle the res + settings. This really sucks, I had high expectations for this card. I thought it would handle everything I would throw at it. :(
