Overclocking Problem

Is it possible to damage your motherboard whilst overclocking and also is it possible to switch your pc on without a processor? Moreover, what could cause a pc from not turning on other than a PSU problem?

Yes you can damage your motherboard. No you can't power it on without a processor. Finally the only thing that can turn on your computer is you or the PSU. To turn it off randomly could be your CPU getting too hot and your motherboard shutting it down due to heat.

What do you mean spot it? Like if you took it into a tech shop and they saw that according to the bios it is a 3200+ and yet you bought a 2500+.. Only if you bought a pre-built system and they can look up what should be in it. If that is not what you meant please try to be more specific and I will check back later.
