Hey all

I finally got around to overclocking the rig in my sig. I got it to 300 FSB fine, then failed on 333. I upped cpu vcore a bit and tried again, no luck. It seems no matter how high I raise the vcore (within reason) It won't push past 315 FSB.

So, I'm pretty sure my NB is short on voltage. Problem is, I don't know what to adjust it to. in BIOS it's set on auto, and I've been looking around and can't find the stock voltage so I don't know where to start

Any thoughts? I'm not positive its my NB, but it's the only thing I can think of

UPDATE: I fiddled around a bit and have got it well past 315, but I'd still like to know how high I can safely push the NB voltage (we always hear about vcore, but I haven't heard much mention as to what NB voltages are typical

try 1.12v for the nb, the p5q supports up to 1600mhz fsb so i dont think you need a large voltage boost on the nb (if any) to run 1333mhz fsb. If you have the vanilla p5q (i have that one) its nb heatsinks dont cool very well so try not to set the nb volts too high or you might get some instability.
