hey guys.
i'm with the most current bios 0507, but i can't seem to manage to overclock at all...i've tried reflashing the bios but i am still limited for some reason..every change i make in the bios - the system won't post.

I've been reading few threads and reviews about p5b deluxe, but i just can't seem to set the basic values in the bios for stable OC..

also there are MANY settings in the bios that i don't even know what they are..and most of the things are set to auto which i also realize that is wrong.

could somebody please point me to a manual or a thread for p5b dlx optimal bios settings for stable OC?

thank you

i've already rad most of them..
but the problem is that if i change the settings to let's say 400x8 1:1 pcie lock to 100/33.3, everything is working ok, i'm getting a large improvement with super pi, but the overall system performance becomes VERY LOW..i am talking about 49k aquamark 3..(instead of 135k without overclock)..there's a HUGE score drop with 3dmark 06 and basicaly every benchmark exept super pi..

what's wrong?

when i boot with these settings it says my ddr2 is 4300...

why would you want to lower the multiplier? make it 9x367=3.3 or 9x356=3.2 i got it working with 4-4-4-12 timing 1.9v, and core voltage 1.35v...

You need to disable the speedstep or whatever technology, I forget what it's called it should be in that thread.

It's all in your memory voltages and timings. When you get that all down...you will be stable.

hi..they didn't seem to find any working solution there...so the only thing is replacing the board?

thanks

Replacing the board because you can't overclock past 9x360? That doesn't really seem to make sense, unless there's something that's actually wrong with it.

If you're unhappy with your overclock, the correct thing to replace is the CPU.
