Overclocking P4 3.06G

I want to know the overclocking capability of the 3.06G P4, I only read a review at hardocp.com and they say they can clock to 3.9G using water cooling. I want to read more about this so please show me more site that overclock this CPU.

All overclocking is really a "hit and miss" crapshoot. You'd be lucky to OC that amount. Until the fabrication process becomes better and better, and more of the high-end cpus are binned down, then OCing is no problem.

I saw on the Screensavers that they hit just over 4GHZ, but that was with liquid nitrogen. 🙂

bah, you beat me to it. i love when they pull out the liquid on that show, it's so great!!!

I've heard of some cases of Northwoods dying recently when the voltage was raised in the CPU forums. Might want to be aware of that.

wow...what mobo is he running?
The ABIT IT7 MAX.... 😉

1.63V is not into the SNDS "danger zone"..... If I am not mistaken, The Intel specs call for a max of 1.75V. 1.70V and below should be safe....
