Overclocking P3, is this safe???

I have a P3 fcpga 933MHz running at 1050MHz (150Mhz fsb) on a Asus P3V4x mainboard. I had trouble before running it at this speed but after changing to a case with a bigger powersupply and removing the thermal pad that came with it and replacing it with Artic Alumina it runs perfectly stable @1050.
How much more stress will thins put on my system and is it usual that this CPU can run this fast?? I checked in the BIOS to see how much warmer the cpu gets and it is only a few degrees, same goes for the mainboard. Thanks for any replys.

 
Maybe the title of this thread didn't seem exciting lol but I think it is rather unusual to hit 1050 (read about p3 933 overclocking and not many reached 1050). Anyone have an opinion?
 
What kinda voltage you need? If ur not going too high on the voltage (like 1.85+) then the chip should be fine. U shouldn't be too suprised changing from a pad to grease and getting a larger powersupply and case will help. The Case probably gave you better ventilation so lower temperatures. Sames goes for changing from pad to grease, thus allowing you to oc'ing a lil better. Also, the higher capacity powersupply will provide a more stable voltage, aiding your oc'ing adventures 😀 At any rate, nice oc! and dont worry too much
 
Isn't that core based on the one that Intel recalled (1.13gig?). If so I wouldn't imagine you will go too far past that, but if your stable now, it won't be putting much, if anymore strain on your system. It will end up aging your P3 slightly faster, so that instead of 10+ more years of service, it will have 9+ more years of service (this is a guess meant to ease your mind....🙂). You really aren't pushing it that hard.

The only thing that might have a problem is the fact that your PCI/AGP bus is now at 37.5 instead of 33. That isn't bad though. Many consider 39 to be the start of the problem area, but I have seen people running 42 and higher regularly, so go figure.
