Hi!

I'm very confused by now. could someone please enlighten me???...pleeeaaase?

I currently run a P2.2 Northwood (fsb400) on an Asus P4t-E with 4x256 PC800 Samsung: fine...but boring.

I'd like to update my Mobo to an Asus P4T533-C (and addtitonal hardware step by step).

My question:
1.) Will I be able to run the PC800 Rambus and the proc at about fsb 120 or even 133. And what happens to
a) the Ram-multiplier and
b) the PCI/AGP frequencies?
2.) Let's say I do run it at fsb120. Would my resulting clockspeed (cpu) then be 2.64GHz (i.e. 20% higher)?
3.) Let's say I bought PC1066 RAM. What effect would a fsb frequency of let's say 120 have on
a) an originally 100MHz-cpu
b) an originally 133Mhz-cpu?

It's question 3 in particular that gives me a headache and I can't get rid of it.
What I am trying to get at is: isn't it much better/easier/more efficient to overclock a 100MHz-fsb-cpu, since the so often limiting factors such as ram-freqencies and clock-gens can be eliminated/bought?

To boil it down: if I was using a brandnew 133-cpu I would have to achieve much higher ram-fsb in order to achieve higher cpu-speeds. Is that correct or am I making a complete fool of myself?

Honestly, I'd appreciate any help from you guys!

best wishes
