Overclocking on the MSI 694D pro Dual socket 370 with P3-600

I am putting a new system together. The current one will be relegated to a ftp/http/file server. The new one will be running win2k pro, and be games/graphics/general usage.
I will be putting my 30 gig 7200 rpm maxtor in it, and may pick up another for a striped Raid 0 array (ata 100 promise controller)

My question is this: What applications can make use of an extra cpu if one is present? I know that win2k will use the 2nd cpu, but I am not sure how application performance will be affected, and games, etc...

I am considering the MSI 694d ($120) and 2 P3-600e($162 each) overclocked to 800??? I will prolly go for 256mb of Corsiar pc133 cas2 memory, and a GeForce 2.

I just want to know if anyone out there knows what I can expect from most mainstream appz with a bit of SMP luvin, and most importantly how will it overclock?
 
maxtors dont do well on raid from what i wsa told
its all over this board
so u have been warned by me from what i heard

yea try not to get maxtors i havea 20 gig maxtor right now 😛 and one time my computer froze and i restarted improperly and it didn't detect my 3rd partition anymore..... and that partition had all my back ups and important files..... i still have fixed the problem yet because i don't wanna format my hardrive 😛 thats the only way i see i can fix it 😛

I bought one MSI board myself a month ago, together with 2 PIII700.
They are now running fine at 933, after two whole days of trying, i'm running the RC5 client on it, it goes 5.5MKeys now ... 🙂

There are a few considerations about this board :

- Be sure you use the latest BIOS, earlyier versions have several problems, with voltage tweaking for example.
- When you begin overclocking it, first you have to have the mobo jumpers at 100 FSB stand, then enter BIOS and set the FSB to 114, then set the mobo jumpers at 133 FSB, after that try to get the system running at 133 and tweek up the voltage bit by bit (I couldnt get the system boot up at 133 Mhz. with other Voltage settings then default, just after it once booted with default I could tweak it up a little to get it running stable ....)

At 2cpu forum there are several threads concerning the MSI mobo ....
