Overclocking on Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3

Hi,

I just got a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3, an Intel Dual Core E6750 (2,66 GHz), and a stick of Kingston 1GB PC800 RAM.

Using the bios auto voltage mode I have changed the FSB from 333 MHz to 400 MHz, now running 3,2 GHz. The system has been stable for a few days, running Super PI, Sandra 2007 etc. Idle temperatures are around 33 degrees celcius. Do you recommend I keep the auto voltage on? The Vcore is approx. 1,4 this way.

I have changed PCI-E to 100 Mhz and the DDR multiplier to 2.0. Since the FSB is now 400 MHz the RAM should run 800 MHz, but according to CPU-Z it's only running 400 MHz. Am I missing something?

CPUz shows the real operating frequency of the RAM, not the "DDR Rating".
Because of the "DDR Technology" the RAM 'performs' like it was running double the real op. frequency, so you call it either 400MHz or DDR2-800.
You RAM is running at what you call 800MHz

As for the CPU Voltage ( Vcore ) it's better to look for the minimum required voltage to get your processor there stable than leaving the motherboard decide with Auto, as it might be giving more voltage than needed.

What is the max vcore for the processor I have? Can that be found anywhere?

You can go as high as you desire as long as you are cooling it down properly.
For example for Air Cooling and 24/7 usage, I'd stick under 1.60V ( temperatures wouldn't allow you to go higher anyways ).

Ok, I have the standard boxed cooler on mine. I'll try removing the auto function and setting it a bit lower manually. Perhaps I will also try to get a bit more out of it than 3.2 GHz.
