Overclocking OEM Radeon 8500?

Is there any way to overclock the OEM Radeon 8500 to the spped of the retail version?

the oem is clocked slower the the retail version?...i just ordered one yesterday from newegg.....whats the core clock and memory clock speeds of the oem?

memory : 250 (500)

so 25/25 slower than retail, you should be easily be able to OC that back, bit I have heard of some OEM cards that didnt go to 275/275

so you're taking a risk ... (there's a reason the OEMS are clocked 250/250 eh)

By overclocking the card could you run the risk of destroying the card? How would I know if I have it overclocked too much? I am using powerstrip to overclock it..

thats F*CKING REDICULOUS....i dont even have the ard yet and i hate it...is ATi trying to shoot themselves in the foot every chance they get?...and no they warrenty the card vette so crank the crap out of it till it smokes or makes you happy...if it fails send it back.

well newegg is kewl i think i am just gonna return it and stick to nvidia

Why are you mad? You're the one who selected the OEM and not the retail and you're the one who didn't research this beforehand. The previous Radeon OEM cards were clocked slower also. What do you expect from buying OEM?

Like most things, You get what you pay for...
But the Radeon in any flavour is a pretty good deal.

Ahhh don't tell them you overclocked it though, because all overclocking voids the warrenty.
