I just had a thought.... I got an asus A7v and want the highest possible cpu upgrade for it...

since the highest multipler for it is 12.5x

i was wondering if i could just up the fsb to get to get up to 1.4 gighertz...
so i could just get a 1.4 gighertz instead of a 1.2

just a thought...

please give me your input...

get bios revision 1007 or higher and the 12.5x multiplier is remapped at 13x

with the multiplier at 13x you can run:
100mhz for 1.3ghz
104mhz for 1.35ghz
108mhz for 1.4ghz

just remember the a7v has the kt133 chipset which is a very poor fsb overclocker, they rarely get above 110mhz, and often times wont even get above 105mhz
