Overclocking My Sempron 2600+ Socket 754

My brother has tried to OC my system in the past and he could only get it from 1.6GHz to 1.7GHz. And that was even unstable. I've searched around the web and have found people who have overclocked their 2600+ anywhere from 2.0GHz to 2.4GHz. Does the Motherboard I have OC very well, or is it the memory thats holding me back. My specs are at the bottom.

I would be happy if I could just OC from 1.6GHz to 2.0GHz. Thanks for any help.

Check that you are using a pci-locked SATA port. I believe ports 1 and 2 are not locked.

Also, I think you'll do much better if you raise your voltage. I got 2.4ghz on a DFI. 1.7ghz is unacceptable for that chip. =T

lower your HTT, make sure RAM and other stuff is good.

Yeah that's pretty much sums up right here.

Also (looking at L3p3rm355i4h's sig) PQI rams are pretty nice and stable.
