Overclocking my PNY GF4 4200 64meg card-> Only 10% gain?!

JEDI

Stock speed 250/500 (core/mem). Got it up to 275/550 (gf4 4400 speeds).

Is that normal for this version of card that i bought a year ago? I thought the 64meg versions of the 4200 o/c better than this?

Anyone have links to overclocking benchmarks for the PNY gf4 4200 64meg?

W/ stock HS & cooling, that appears about right JEDI 🙂

Depends on who made the card and more importantly, what sort of memory was used. My PNY 128MB 4200 is overclocked from 250/500 to 300/600 without a hiccup. It gets some artifacts beyond that, so I can't push it any further. Others can go to 350/700, some top out barely beyond stock levels. Overclocking is always unpredictable. If you ask in the video forum you'll get dozens of people that have their 4200's OC'd and can get a better idea of the averages and extremes.

got it up to 325/550. but core doesnt do much if it doesnt have data from the memory to keep it full.
