overclocking my GeForce in win2k

How do I use the CoolBits OC utility in Win2k? I am using the latest Detonator 12.41 drivers but I can't get CoolBits to work at all. I have even tried replacing NVCPL.DLL and NVQTWK.DLL with 12.40 versions just to enable CoolBits. Doing this DOES enable the CoolBits program but, whenever I check the box to "enable clock frequency adjustments" nothing ever happens. Each time I check the box the OS reboots and I'm back a square one without any OC capability. Is there something I'm missing?
