Hi everyone,

I got a Gecube 9800 XT which overclocked fine until it hit 435/365 and started showing errors on atitool. I was wondering if I should try to up the AGP voltage and try a bit more overclocking. My question is by how much should I up the voltage. My AGP voltage options are +0.1 +0.2 +0.3.

The temperature at idle is 68C and max load temp on Atitool is around 85C. I have full cooper cooling on card with heatpipe.

Thx

Sam

p.s. avg FPS on BF2 1024x768 @ High Settings is 56FPS

It sounds like your card is at its limit. I could be wrong, but any gains you might make from upping your AGP voltage are going to be miniscule, and you run the risk of possibly damaging your card. Not worth the risk, IMO.

agree with Mloot

why bother? if you need more performance, it's time to spend some money ;)
[i have a 9800xt also]

by upping the AGP voltage you risk burning out your card [and i understand they still fetch a premium on FS/T] and will likely get very little actual FPS increase.

I used to have an OC'd 9800p, and raising the voltage by 0.05v helped me get an extra 10 mhz or so on the OC. However, since .1 is the smallest option you have, dont use anything more than that, or you can burn out the card. Even a .1v increase is kinda risky, and you won't see much difference anyway in games, so it's not really worth the risk.
