If I am overclocking a Radeon 9800 Pro with stock speeds of 380/340 is it important to keep the difference between the first and the second number 40 (380-340) or does that not matter?

nah just start bumping the mem 10 mhz at a time and run 3dmark or play nfsu, farcry, ut2k4, or any other taxing game for an hour or so

Or just use ATi Tool.

I am using ATI Tool, should I only be bumping the mem clock and not the core clock? Should I go as high as I can get until it becomes untsable/produces artifacts or is there a certain number I should stop at. Note: I am not using extra cooling and don't want to fry the card :)
