Overclocking my 4670

I tried installing Rivatuner and it won't install. All I get is an error message showing folder destination and "Rivatuner224c-[Guru3d.com].exe is not a valid Win32 application". That's the only program I remember that I've used to overclock a gpu. What do I try now? I would try ATITools but I can't find a non-2006 version of it.

Figured out the Rivatuner issue. I am overclocking the memory now using ATI Tray Tools for benching and artifact scanning and Rivatuner for the actual overclock. How long should I be scanning for artifacts between each incremental increase in speed?

Were you able to max it in CCC ?

ATI tray tools is very good if you like to go nuts in your fan profiles.

I can easily max out CCC (see sig) and the thing is rock stable. I tried ATT and Rivatuner, but both of them seem to not differentiate between 2d and 3d clocks, so anything i set in there seems to stick, constantly. 3dmark06= 8700

I have always just used 3dmark for artifact testing..of course, you have to watch it...but with my 6800nu and this 4670 it's a great diagnostic tool to feel out the limits of your card. My 6800 would throttle before it started to show artifacts, and my 3dmark score would drop. I just broke 9000 in 3dmark06 with my 4670. I'm impressed with it's OC ability.

I'm downloading 3dmark06 right now and will test with that when it's done. I have it up to 799/982 and doesn't artifact plus temps are 50/53 for the core and memory with load

Well, in the CPU tests my CPU is getting 0 fps. I'm gonna hold off on the OC until I get another CPU. CPU seems to bottleneck my system quite a bit
