Hi guys,

this is my rig :
a64 3500+ (120nm)
msi k8n neo2 platinum (nforce 3 ultra)
2*512 kingston pc3200/400 at 3-3-3
msi geforce 6800gt
475w HEC psu

i think the rest is rather irrelevant.
the thing is, i'm a newbie beyond imagination when it comes to o/c ing and
i just wonder what would be the safest way (if possible) to make my cpu
go from 2.2ghz (which it runs now, at stock) to 2.4ghz.

at the moment i get that 2.2ghz at 11*200
i thought that i could just get the fsb to about 220 and that's it but i'm worried
my ram wouldn't handle 220fsb and crash or worse.
what do you think?
i'd really hate tweaking things i have no idea about, like the ram timings or volt.
is there sth i can do?

thanx and excuse my ignorance for such -somewhat- basic things.

option 1: just crank up the FSB to 220 and see that happens. it might work and you may not have to worry about anything. decent ram can easily take 2.8v so don't be too afraid to set vdimm to 2.8

option 2: (if option 1 fails) just use a ram divider. just set the ram clock to 166 and then the fsb to 220 and you're good to go. make sure again vdimm is 2.8v

don't forget to set HTT (LDT) to x4 so that you'll be within spec for the hypertransport speed. it's no big impact anyway. you can keep your 3-3-3 timing if you use a ram divider.

option 3: if it still won't go, just add vcore (1.6) and/or increase latency by setting ram to 3-4-4-10

that's it you're good to go. and by the way, get a better PSU it will help.
