Overclocking my 3200+ Venice

Specs are in my sig. I read the down and dirty guide and my pc seems to be stable im just wondering if i did everything right.

I Changed my HTT to 240. My mulitplier is still x10. HTT is at 4x. I noticed that my ram went up to 240mhz also so i lowered it to DDR 333 and its now at 200mhz.

Am i doing this right?

Im not looking for a huge overclock. I just read the Oblivion article and thought i might want to try and squeeze some more power out of my CPU. I am on stock cooling and dont want to buy a new HSF or new CPU at this time.

Ok i will run Prime 95 overnight and see what happens. My only other question (i feel like a noob for asking) How do i check my temps? I know i can restart the computer and it shows up on the first screen. But is there anyway to check it without restarting my PC?

So far you are overclocking right

To check temperatures there are programs in windows that can do it, you may have one with your motherboard software

yes u are overclocking perfectly...

to check ur temps without restarting download "everest" (google it) it will tell u ur temps as well as other useful system info...

if stable in prime95 let us know...

if it isnt then try upping ur Vcore slightly and see how u go

i have the same board; you can check your temps by using either the USDM (probably on your MB disk or download it from the campany site) or the "ThunderProbe". I would recommend the USDM, because te ThunderProbe seems to have a memory leak somewhere in it and really not that different.

Also, in the two computers i have oc'ed using this board a HTT of 5x works up to at total of 1250 Mhz (or a FSB of 250 x HTT of 5).
