Overclocking + Memory Question

I don't know an awful lot about overclocking but I'd like to overclock a new P4 system such that the memory and the FSB will run synchronously(sp?).

The fastest memory out there right now seems to be PC3700 which theoretically runs at 2 X 233mhz. If I were to lock my 865 at 1:1 ratio then overclock the FSB to 233mhz would my 2.8c be running synchronously with the memory?

If this were true wouldn't this theoretically be faster than a 3.2c running with DDR400?

Thanks

Why do you want to run them in sync? (no not NSYNC damnit...) AMD benefits by running memory and cpu in sync, but with P4's, faster is better.

Yes, in theory your P4 would be faster if you could run it at 1:1 233 FSB, your CPU would be at 3262 MHz and ram would be running at 466.66666 DDR, so of course it would be faster than a 3.2GHz P4 with DDR 400

The question was primarily a follow up to the statement by many that a 2.4c OC'ed to 1000fsb is slower than a 3.0c running at 800fsb.

Thanks for the reply BTW :D
