Overclocking M64...

use the coolbits reg along with any nvidia reference driver. if ur using the manufacturers drivers then download powerstrip and use that to overclock it.

I have overclocked it to 150 MHz for the clock (compared to 125) and left the memory at 143 MHz. Is this about the limit for the M64?? Will I get much of a speed increase on my K6-2 300?
With these setting my 3dMark is about 1010.
I am using an overclocking program called "Tntclk"

I don't think that's bad for your system, but go ahead and overclock the memory. That's the real bottleneck for that card and should give you better results than overclocking the core.

You also better let 3dmark or someting loop at least overnight to make sure you end up with a stable system.

Oh, and I think the CPU will hold you back. Maybe you should upgrage that when you can get a deal on a faster processor.

It seems that no matter how much I overclock the card, I can't get the 3dMarks to go above 998-1010(@1024x768, 16 bit)... I think that it is the K6-2 is holding it all back...I am probably going to upgrade to a Duron 🙂 - but then I will probably want a better graphics card 🙂 🙂 (they are still quite expensive in Australia, about $260)

Just bang some jumpers on your PC power supply and hook it up to your swwwoiiit commodore, but only do it if you've got a V8.
