Has anyone of you overclocked Iwill KK 266-R?

I have just overclocked by FSB=150, Multiplier= x8.0.

Those of you who have:

1) What is a recommended Core voltage setting?
2) Would it help memory stability/performance to increase VIO by 5% when doing the above overclocking?

Thanks,
Dhanu...

I put my vio up 10%. I don't know if I need it that high but whatever, and my voltage is 1.7. Duron 900@1000, 7x143.

Just use whatever is stable for you. My system couldn't run with +10% VIO for some reason, even after I got Crucial CAS2 PC133. The ram allowed me to run higher (161 as opposed to 150 FSB), but in either case the +10% VIO didn't increase overclocking, and decreased stability.

I have my KK266 at 150Mhz FSB and my TBird 1.4 @ 1.5Ghz. I bumped the core voltage up to 1.80V for extra stability (it runs OK at default) and I bumped the VIO by 5% which gives a reading of 3.44V.

I am unfamiliar with the VIO settings, can somebody elaborate what they do and how high they can go without damaging hardware?

It's the voltage which is supplied to your memory, your chipset and I think that the AGP and possibly the PCI devices use it too. Just like the with CPUs, raising this voltage can help obtain higher clock speeds. The most you can get out of the IWill I think is about 3.5V which is well within the 10% that most componants are built to tolerate. On the KK266 you can set to either a 5 or 10% increase via a jumper. It's just to the right of the last DIMM slot, towards the top.

I have a Duron 800@930 (6*155) right now on a KK266. For some reason increasing the core voltage and VIO just decreases my stability so I just overclock using default voltages. Wish you luck...
