It's likely...but you'll need a nice cooler, lol. The thick aluminum stock one is only good for about 3.2ghz on that thing imho.

The cooling setup needed to get that heater of a processor up to 4GHz would cost more than an upgrade.

No way you're pulling that off lol, Intel qualifies it a 2 Star CPU for a reason. It's meant for the average joe to google answers to sunday's paper crossword and looking at pictures of their grandchildren in canada.

I may have had a brain burp when I put 4.

But Ive had a proper look around and 3.0 seems reasonable

Software FSB overclocking is not good. I've trashed 2 s478 boards by doing so. Unless that board isnt crap or oemblocked, you're only going to be stable at 2.8ghz and below.

yeah even if you get that turd to 4.0, a modern Core 2 at 2.0 would still be better while using way less power.
