Overclocking Intel D865PERL with clockgen

On the clockgen website, there is a tool especially for overclocking Intel motherborads. So, I decided to download it and give it a try. So, after downloading it I clicked on get values and then slightly increase the FSB and clicked on set value. Then I restarted and ran CPU-Z, but it showed the old values. And if I run clockgen and click on get values, it shows the old values too. I have tried this many many times but it doesn't work... How can I make the FSB increase permanent??

No problem, although I would recommend OCing from the BIOs. First you copy Clockgen to your Window's start up directory. Than create a save file, the directions are in the Read Me, here are the ones for my mobo, although I'm sure yours will be different.

Save file format
----------------

The save file is a common text file, created with a text editor.
It includes :
- a signature : [CG-NVNF4]
- the FID, VID, FSB and PCIE values.

Example of save file :

[CG-NVNF4]
VID=1.425
FID=9.5
FSB=200
PCIE=100

Notice that :
- each of these values is optionnal.
- the settings are applied in the order they appear in the file.

In the example above, the program will apply VID, then FID, then the FSB
speed, and endly the PCI Express speed.

Good luck!

And BTW, I didn't overclock from the BIOS because Intel motherboards only allows 4% max. overclocking which is useless!!
