i know your all having a good laugh at me for owning an intel board and wanting to overclock, but i'll ask anyways.

Is there virtually ANY possibly way to overclock my processor(2.4b) on this intel board?(D865perl).
In the bios the motherboard offers 4% clock increase under 'Burn-In Mode', putting me at 2.5 which just isnt enough. Then i'm reading on intel site about their new Desktop Control Center. Which ive heard doesn't really do much for those who are looking to overclock. Is there any other ways that some of you may know how to overclock my setup?

Please help me!!! :frown:

+4% is all she wrote for that board. I've seen some screenies of that Desktop Control Center and it doesn't seem like it's anything other than a Windows interface to the BIOS so there's no OCing through it either. We won't know for sure until Intel actually gets around to releasing it but don't hold your breath.

One thing that would help you considerably would be to get yourself an 800MHz "C" CPU (like the 2.4C for instance) and 2 sticks of PC3200 RAM so your RAM can run at speed on that board. Those two things are holding you back waay more than the lack of OCing for that board.
