Hi, i've recently put together a new system and i'm trying my first OC's, ever.
I was running 3.2Ghz stable with load temps on orthos peaked at 51c which seemed okay to me, but i'd like to get a second opinion on that. Currently though, after doing a little reading, I set my multi to x8 to run my ram at 800 & 1:1. Load temps on orthos after 10 mins were 48C peak at 1.288 Vcore. I took out all this mesh on my stacker that was hindering airflow.
Okay, now to my question/problem. Ever since I put the multi to x8 some programs and the BIOS when starting up are reading it as 450 x8 and in Orthos it reads as 3.6 also. However, inside the BIOS when adjusting the speeds it shows correctly as 3200 and in Cpuz.
Is this normal or should I be worried?
Also, are my temps okay? Idle is 23/25c right now in Core Temp. But on load in Orthos it jumps up a lot. I read that Orthos will stress your CPU more than anything else so it's normal. But i'm just worried since it's my first time. i also have a headache from spending two days OC'n this. I just went to be done and enjoy my games lol.
