I'm relatively new to OCing, and asked a couple of questions in this thread about taking my Barton 2500+ to 3200+.

What PSU and HSF would you reccomend? Currently I'm using stock cooling that came with the CPU, and whatever 300W power supply that came with my Antex SX830 case.

For cooling, I'm currently at 51 C idle at 1.650V, 166MHz, 11.0x, and 70 C under full load. When at 1.825V, 200 MHz, 11.0x, I am at 77 C idle. Can you reccomend something that will keep me cool at 3200+ speeds?

As for the PSU, what is a good 400W supply? Should I just watch AT hot deals?

Thanks alot :)

Antec Power Supplies are great and they always have been. I think A LOT of users on here would agree. They have 350, 380, and 400 watt versions(and higher).

As for a HSF, I would reccomend this Zalman. I can guarantee that it will keep your barton cool, and yes, it is VERY quiet, even at the top speed of "normal." It's perfect for what you need.(And yea..I have one myself. :)

Good Luck

I agree the Zalman is very good hsf, and also very quiet. PSU I would go with Antec, Enermax, or if you have the $$ to spend, PC Power and Cooling. I would say go with a 400watt or higher so if you ever decide to upgrade later in the video card area or whatever you should be fine.

i also agree with the zalman hsf but have a recommendation for a ps at a great price here. It is a channel well 420w PS with 18A on the 12V rail. It is the same quality as antec and enermax because channel well actually makes most of their power supplies
