overclocking graphics card ... ive never done it before ?

Hi ,

My main Graphics card just broke so im having to use my old backup 1 .

Its a nVidia GeForce FX 5200 128mb

Iwanted to overclock it , but ive never overclocked a GFX card before , I downloaded an addon to the nVidia software to let me adjust the memory and clock frequency .

Details :-

Core Clock Frequency = 250 MHz
Memory Clock Frequency = 331 MHz

AGPv = 1.55v

Can anyone offer any tip or nhelp with this .

Like should i put the AGPv TO 1.6v and an estimate of how far i can bump up the Mem and Core Clocks ?

leave the AGPv as is. First adjust the core 5mhz at a time and keep testing for screen corruption or artifacting with benchmarking tool like 3dMark03 or 05. Then return the core to stock and then try the memory the same and then both together.

See in the nVidia setting just under where you change the Mem and Core Clocks theres a little button to " test you settings " see if i put it too high and press that , will that let me know its too high ?

Also is there any other things a can change in the Global Driver Settings that will boost my performance ?
Anything that takes up a lot of GPU power that should be turned off ?
