Hi,

I just updated my graphics card(s) drivers to the Nvidia 77.77 and coolbits no longer enables clock speed controls?????? How do we enable this in the registry now with these new drivers???? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I am baffled that noone is responding to this?!?! Hasn't anyone else run into this problem?????? The biggest thing I am worried about, is that I hear that setting the DWORD value in Coolbits to 3 enables overclocking, but won't that disable SLI anti-aliasing? Currently, my coolbits is set to "8", but isn't there a setting that will enable both overclocking and SLI anti-aliasing? Please, someone HELP!

Try rivatuner. And if i'm correct, the Xtreme G nvidia drivers have the coolbits built in.

What DWORD registry entry are you using for Coolbits? Also, do you have SLI antialiasing working as well?

You are making this more complicated than it needs to be.

HKEY/Localmachine/Software/Nvidia Corporation/Global/NVTweak

Then in the NVTweak folder create a DWORD value labeled "Coolbits" with a hex value of 1.

That enable Coolbits 1.0 (Not sure the manual way for 2.0).

Do that or download the XG drivers.

No I am not making this more complicated than it is! If I was, I would have had a decent response days ago instead of going through this fiasco:( Here is the problem I have with your instructions you just blurted out so quickly....
1). You don't have a Geforce 6X or 7X series video card
2). You don't have an SLI setup
3). Your coolbits value of "1", I have never ever seen listed anywhere
So, why should I go with what you say? My rig is very specific and your settings definately do not apply to mine. Please read the entire post before you go blurting out instructions that may or may not apply. Thanks.

Dont take it so personally. Chill out.. people make mistakes.

Sorry i meant a hex value of 3. It was late at night for me lol.

It also seemed that i was overlooking the fact that you had SLI. OCing does not work when in SLI unfortunately. Nvidia is supposed to come out with a fix for it.

As for your answers... why does it matter if i have a 6 series card or a 7 series card. The DWORD values remain the same in the registry regardless of what Nvidia card you have.

I get a little annoyed sometimes, but next time i would think twice about insulting the person who is attemping to help you.
