Overclocking GA-P35C-DS3R

I am running an Intel E660 (2.4G) with Corsair 1066 DDR2 memory. The default settings for the CPU are 266 clock speed and a 9x multiplier. The memory is at 266 x 4. I would like to OC the CPU at 2.66. I've set the clock at 333 and the multiplier at 8 which should give me 2.66, but when checking CPU speed in XP the CPU shows up at 2.93G and the memory is 333 x 3.2 which gives me 1066. What gives with the CPU core speed?
