the ram in the OCZ VX, is D9GKX rated at 800 MHZ Cas5 by Micron. D9GMH is 667 mhz. It is the same die, just binned from Micron for higher speeds. From there it is binned even highger by OCZ. Slowest D9GKX part from OCZ is PC2-7200.

why are you guys recommend 401 fsb? When I would running my ram at 401 FSB i was getting ~4500BG/s ram speeds, when I dropped to 400FSB it skyrocketted to ~6500GB/s. Is 401 just a more stable speed? Why do you guys recommend 401, when 400, at least in my case, is much faster?

It changes the strap timings when you move to 401 so some people find better stability.

A lot more variables to consider than overclocking an A64 :(

Looks like I'll have to do my research before upgrading :)
