I think this is one of the most worthy causes I have found for DC. This also benefit's children with cancer, which is also a topic close to my heart 🙂

I am not asking for 100 new people to sign up for Team Anandtech , I think just 2-3 people with some spare idle time on there pc's if they would like to help a good cause 🙂

TA has moved into the top 10 for the week 22nd overall. I really think we could have a top 5 team with less than 10 pc's and think of the how good you would feel everytime you looked at what you were doing 🙂😉😀😎🙂

TRI is conducting screens for potential drugs that will either kill cells that are mutant for TSC (we each have two copies of each gene and we will only kill cells that have two bad copies of the TSC genes, the rest of the cells that don't cause problem with people with TSC only have one bad copy), or make these cells more like normal cells(revert the phenotype).

I'm about to build a dual 1600+ system in the next week, and when I have idle CPU time (which I'm sure I'll have plenty of with two CPUs) I'll make sure to help the cause 🙂

I'll go ahead and DL it and run it on this system until I get my dual components. I just had two processors and a Soyo mobo short out on me so I'm running a Duron 700 in this Soltek KT333 board with PC2700 DDR! LOL I got some major memory bandwidth but no CPU power...Every little bit helps out though 🙂

BTW, this may get moved to the distributed computing forum. It should definately be a sticky there if it isn't already (I haven't looked).

I downlaoded it but it keeps saying "please choose a difft location to extract installer to" or somting. So it won't install. Im on XP pro.
 
Sorry cant help on this rig I am folding@home for ardOCP but I will put it up on my moms PC since she doesnt use it for much these days.

The Software Support page show's it being installed on an XP system.

LMK if you don't get it resolved, I have a copy of XP Home (been laying on my desk for 6 months) I was thinking of putting on my server, it currently run's 2000 and it may be stable but it's slowwwwwww for a 900 mhz machine wit 521 kb ram !!

works fine on xp pro for me but i put it in the "my documents folder" under tsc "new folder" then ran the install
from there
